Meiho J – Split Foam Case Review.
Since i got back into lure fishing, i am always keeping an eye out for products on the market either being new or old that i have not come across yet. One thing i was looking for was a box that could hold a few rubber sandeel’s and so they would not keep falling around and getting all bent up. I then came across something that look idea but was it, i give you the …..
The Split Foam J Case from Meiho .
The Meiho Slit Form J is a plastic case for your fishing supplies. It has a hinged lid case features a foam insert with pre cut slits for hooking on your fishing lures and other hooks so they don’t move around or get tangled during transport.

The top of the case.
it is made of polypropylene and features a yellow plastic case with a clear hinged lid, a foam insert with pre cut slits, a secure plastic latch closure with a removable plastic hang tab.

The slots cut into the foam.
Measurements of the box are 178 x 108 x 19 mm and weights only .084 kg very light.
So as i said earlier i wanted to keep some sandeels in a box and keep them from getting bashed about, the slots on the foam from the J slit foam case looked perfect for this, the ones in particular was the new Predator Torpedo eels from Predator lures in a range of six colours available Here,i wanted to put in there, so how did it work see below …

Seven Predator lures in the box.
It works great i can get seven 5” eels in there, there is possible room for 6” ones although i didn’t have one to try, with theses being weedless the hook bend sticks below making them easier to push into the foam, the Westin Sandy Andys weedless work this way too, also Red Gills with bottom hooks, But with having fixed hooks sticking up from the back ,you would not be able to fix them like this and flip them over being an option they don’t slit in very well.

Close up and all neatly fitted in the slots.
Before i do a conclusion i have one more trick to show you, Mehio have other J Cases in their range which connect together back to back, and being interchangeable, you can mix and match them,at the time i bought the slit case i brought Light Game Case too,(review to follow) so i can join them together as a double or two singles,a fantastic idea in the image below.

The Split Foam sitting on the Light Game Case joined together.
Conclusion.
The Mehio Split foam case does the job i need it to do, it keeps my sandeels secure and not banging and bending in larger boxes, although i think useful for weedless sandeels only.Being so thin it takes up little space, allowing for slipping it, into small pockets on bags, waist packs, even jacket pockets for easy access. With compatibility with other J cases connecting two together and keep lures on one side and a hook/swivels,accessories case the other side. These cases are so versatile and i’m just showing a way to utilise them. If you are looking for some small form cases which can carry a lot have a check on the Mehio cases. I purchased these cases on my own and have given them a honest and fair review. I love mine thanks for reading my review everyone.
