Lure Previews and Website Updates.

Hello Everyone, with the weather being so poor here in Cornwall for much fishing,and being busy with other commitments, I have been working on the website trying to make it appealing and to add more content to it. One thing i want to do is to review tackle i am currently using, and to do previews on tackle i am planning to use and review after i have been using it.

The Lure Previews.

For this season i set out to try and to test a good selection of lures, so i have bought a good selection of them and separated them in to different sections, we have Surface Lures from three different brands, Predator, Xorus & Fishus, we have Soft Plastics with two different brands, Bass Lures & Xorus, the Metals with two brands, Slingshot & Savage Gear, the Creature Baits with two brands Bass Lures and Megabass, the sinking lures one brand, Duo and the Sandeel with one brand, Predator.

I plan to try as many as these as i can, then record results with them, to build up a database of what lures work in different tides,weather, time of day, times used, bass caught yes or no, and a few more things as well. This will evolve a good bit of time to do, At the end of the year i will post results onto the website for people to view, which i thing will be interesting especially for newcomers to bass fishing. Website Updates.

As i am building the website i am continuously learning and finding new ways to update and improve the website, i did a major rework of the website a couple of weeks ago but still wasn’t happy with it, which led to another rework of all the pages as in the image below. But there are always ways to tweak and improve, as you can see the image above, on the lure preview pages i have added a shadow of blue to the edges of the Headings and Images, which i am now implementing to the Blog page to spice them up.

As you can see here i used a different layout to produce the Homepage and most of the other pages on the website, in time i might change them over to the other design.

On the heading of the Website we have two drop down menus, the first Home/Menu if you click the v it opens a menu with other pages on the website, the second menu under reviews has a list of categories for different reviews on the website, as the reviews page is all linked, you will be able to pick which categories you wish and it will just show reviews under like fishing rods or fishing lures etc.

Under the main menu there is a vouchers and freebies page Here, on this page there are two shops, Mr Fish and Lures Edge, if you click on these you will go to the relevant shops, were you will get a pop up for both,enter your email and you can get a £10 & £5 voucher from them, to use in their shops. I will get also get something as well, which will help me towards my time in building and running the website and Facebook group.

Well that is what i have been up to, i am going to try and get to doing a blog every week and also some more previews and reviews on other items as well. Thanks for reading Tight Lines Steve @ kernowbass.
