Kernow Bass Raffles.
Well we are in 2025 and January is flying by, I haven’t been on the website much recently, with Christmas, work, and feeling crap I just let it tick by, but here we are in a New Year and some serious Bass Fishing to be done by all of us, or as much as we can.
The Christmas Raffles went well with 7 prizes in 7 days won by 7 happy members, the Highlight being Wayne Morgan donating his Raffle prize to a Youngster, who I found 2 Bentley & Ellie a brother and sister who loved their prize with some extra things I added for them. I hope to do some more raffles in the future, it depends on donations as I donated almost all the surplus things I had, I hope our members will donate some items towards future raffles and maybe I can get some shops to donate a few things, we will see, even if it’s is once a month.
The Christmas Rod Raffle a Savage Gear SGS8 was won by Dave Huxley and the New Year Rod Raffle SGS5 was won by Charlie Smith a ticket bought by his son Dean. Two very happy Guys and wish you catch lots of bass on them.
Fishing.
My fishing has gotten off to a slow start. I got out for the first time on the 15th of January. It was a beautiful morning, and I was throwing out soft plastics and fishing them through the Bladderack, but no bass was caught in the two hours I was out.
I have bought some new lures for the season ahead, which I will try out and review as the season progresses. Some Xorus ones, Patch, Frosty & Austerie in 500g, and these Predator ones Below.

Ultimate Fishing Custom Bag, from Here, Although I loved my HPA one, I felt I needed a slightly bigger bag, so I have got one of these to try and review in the future.

I have been trying a different Braid, this one I had on a spare spool but never used it, after hearing good things and a certain Devon Guide mention it in his top 10 I’m switching over to try it out. It is the Shimano Kairika Braid, I have used it once but cast and retrieves are super smooth so I’ll use it and review it in the future.

Well, that’s all for Now Folks as I do things I will be posting it up on the FB group Tight Lines everyone.
