My Bass Lures.
As I only returned to Bass fishing in May 2024 I found myself behind in terms of lure fishing for bass, there are a huge amount of lures on the market, with some lures having a multitude of colors to go with them.
For anyone new to starting Bass fishing it can be a tough experience delving into the world of lure buying, what works for one person may not work for yourself, I have found out buying a recommended lure doesn’t catch you fish, a popular lure like the savage gear surf seeker, a go-to lure for many I tried on many occasions and never caught a fish with them, I could lose the lures easy enough though.
I have tried a few other metals, hard surfaces, and soft lures but I am only going to post the lures I have found successful with but as i progress and try out others this page will update with new entries.
Slingshot Surface Irons.
This has been my most successful lure of 2024, the Surface Irons are a metal lure, in weights of 9,17 and 26g, I have caught 95% + of my Bass on this lure, coming in 6 colours especially the the chrome which looks like a baitfish.
In one session I had 30 bass in a 2-hour session and this lure accounted for my PB bass of 60cm
I wrote an extensive review of this lure which you can read below.
Fishus Espetit.
The Fishus Espetit is a surface lure that comes in sizes 70, 95, and 110 mm and a range of colors, Hot Belly Glass, White N Flash, and Flashy Shad are popular colors.
I have caught a few schoolies on these lures, through the summer of 2024, and I did have my previous PB of 56cm on the Flashy Shap version 95mm.
